Polydactyl Cats

ABOUT POLYDACTYLS

Polydactyl Cats History Is Unique.  With Extra Toes, Their Mouse-ability is Increased Substantially. More than that, so is their humorous athleticism! You will have a barrel of fun.

Sailors Kept Them On Their Ships For Good Luck And Mousing.

Ernest Hemmingways was given a white six-toed cat by a ship’s captain and some of the cats who live on the museum grounds are descendants of that original cat, named Snow White.

All of the 40-50  Polydactyl Cats on the Hemmingway Home and Museum Property in Key West, Florida  are named after famous people and characters.

Even if a Polydactyl cat gives birth to a kitten with only 18 digits, they still may carry the “gene” and their offspring will have Polydactyl kittens.  The extra toes are quite fascinating. If a Polydactyl cat with the gene is bred to actual Polydactyl cat, you most definitely will have Polydactyl Kittens.

The World Record holder for toes has 28 toes.  Our “Pawsitively” Rare Exotic Feline Registered Cats and Kittens regularly have 24-26 toes!

PawPawTop.com is home to The “Pawsitively” American Polydactyl REFR Cattery. REFR = Rare Exotic Feline Registry.
